We’re braving it in brave heart country. Virgin Hotels Edinburgh, Scotland, is slated to open in 2020. Located in the landmark India Buildings in Edinburgh’s Old Town near The Royal Mile, the space itself will feature 225 Chambers and multiple dining and drinking outlets.
During an event this week, Sir Richard, Raul Leal Virgin Hotels CEO, and Frank Ross Lord Provost of Edinburgh gave a few remarks at the future hotel site, accompanied by an acoustic performance by Nina Nesbitt.
Sir Richard Branson, Virgin Group Founder said: “What better place than right here in Edinburgh? My grandparents were from Edinburgh. My wife, Joan, is Scottish – and the city holds a very special place in my heart.”
The property will be a stunning mix of old and new reflecting the city’s eclectic and energetic style, while remaining true to its historic heritage. Edinburgh has so much to offer as a top travel destination in the UK.
“Beyond preserving the building for the future, the new hotel will breathe new life into this important local community.” — Raul Leal, CEO of Virgin Hotels.
