When Virgin Hotels Dallas launched their drag brunch in August 2020, we thought they were crazy.
It’s hard to chug mimosas through a Covid mask, after all.
And drag queens don’t look their best when lip-syncing behind plexiglass shields that fog up from their hot bourbon breath.
Well, our skepticism was unfounded and here we are three years later and the Dancing Kween: Drag Brunch is about to celebrate an anniversary.
Hosted by Jenni P., the event has changed formats several times over the years, most recently moving from the Commons Club restaurant on the ground floor to a ballroom upstairs at the chic hotel. Instead of ordering off the menu, tickets now include free-flowing mimosas and a self-serve spread of delicious brunch fare.
The big anniversary show explodes onto the stage on Sunday, August 20 for noon and 3:00 p.m. shows (we recommend the late one if you can swing it).
Sure, a 3:00 start time makes it more of a Drag Early Bird Special Dinner, but it promises to have even more surprises than normal to make this party one of the best of the summer.
The show will absolutely (fabulously) sell out, so book your tickets right now or regret it for the rest of your life.
