Commons Club, Virgin Hotels Nashville’s flagship restaurant, bar, and lounge, is now open serving boozy brunch and a small bar menu for dinner. Located on the ground floor of the new Music Row hotel, executive chef Ryan Lachaine is at the helm of the newly opened space.

Commons Club is Lachaine’s first endeavor outside of his home city of Houston, Texas, where he is co-owner and executive chef at the acclaimed restaurant Riel, which quickly became a staple in Houston’s standout restaurant scene. Joining Lachaine to handle day-to-day operations in Nashville is chef de cuisine Kevin Kobayashi, best known for his time at Ramen Tatsu-Ya, a collection of popular noodle shops with locations in Houston and Austin.

Commons Club serves as social epicenter of the hotel, with three distinct spaces: centerpiece area The Bar, small group space The Shag Room, and The Kitchen, an open style kitchen area and dining room.

The Bar at Commons Club debuts with a small plates menu offering comfort foods like chicken fried mushrooms with country gravy, Korean fried chicken wings, and butter burgers alongside lighter options like salmon crudo, blistered shishitos, or campechana with crab and rock shrimp. The bar and lounge are open Tuesday through Saturday, from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Walk-ins are accepted on a first come, first served basis.

On Sundays, Commons Club transforms into a boozy brunch destination complete with bottomless mimosas and beats by popular local DJ j.howard, founder of Nashville’s Queer Dance Party. The menu features classic brunch dishes including Eggs Benedict with houseCanadian peameal bacon, pho (known to help hangovers) with top sirloin, and a honey butter chicken biscuit with dill honey butter. Brunch-time cocktails include “pumpkin spiked” cold brew with rum, and the “tea party” with Earl Gray-infused vodka and coconut cream. The Early Bird is a large-format Bloody Mary with all the fixings, served in a birdcage. Guests can also order a selection of Natalie’s juices, Jenwey tea and Laughing Man® coffee.

Brunch is available from 10 a.m.- to 4 p.m. on Sundays. Reservations are encouraged (via OpenTable). See some of the brunch menu items and a tour of the space below.
